Say hello to baby J.
His mama and I have been chatting for months leading up to her delivery of her baby boy and how much she loved the natural, soft look of my newborn photos. It’s always such a joy to hear that someone chose me specifically because of their love of my work and my style.
Fast forward to April 9th and I got to meet this extremely kind, down to earth family of three. I had one the best experiences with this sweet baby boy who was exactly a week old for our Saturday morning session. He opened his eyes here and there as I took off his little sleeper onesie as I held him in my lap. Once he knew I was cool he drifted back to dreamland. I fit his little wiggly legs into a pair of cream-colored newborn pants from my collection of props and then wrapped him ever so snug. Once he was wrapped and ready to go we were able to get all kinds of looks from this sweet babe.
Isn’t this pose just darling? It’s become one of my favorite go-to poses for dad’s, but this time I wanted to incorporate both parents. I definitely want to print this BIG in my studio!
Mama brought in this gorgeous blue blanket that a family member gave her as a baby gift. Of course we had to incorporate it into our session!
See that tiny hint of a smirk? :)
Some of my favorite newborn portraits I’ve taken to date have been cream on cream; just baby and pure white. There isn’t anything fancy; no frills and no fuss. And boy did Mr. J love having his hands out. He raised them up, tucked them under his chin, and laid back super chill-like.
Gosh I love that smile!
Session FAVE!
Towards the end of our session we had a diaper situation and he got a wardrobe change. Look at him rocking those grey pants!
A little feet action!
He let me know he was done with our photo session with this last photo I captured.
DONE! Haha!
Central Ohio Extended Family Photography Session
Columbus Ohio Family Photographer
Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
