Hezekiah. Meaning: God is my strength.
When a family arrives in my home studio for a photo session it's always a little toasty for their baby to sleep comfortably. I really love soaking up those first few minutes holding the parent's baby in their everyday onesie. Hezekiah was no different. He was such a squishy baby full of sweet dreams.
He really seemed at ease resting comfy with his mom and dad. This is always such a wonderful experience for me as a photographer to watch how a couple snuggles and interacts with their baby and one another. Nathan fit in and snuggled with Brooklynn like a glove; never missing a beat.
I adore father/baby photographs. These tender moments are so important. Each time I set up a photo with Nathan he knew exactly what to do, and how to feel. This is such a favorite moment for me because he was really soaking in that baby smell.
Hezekiah sure had strength alright. He gave me the best mean-mug face ever when we began taking photos of him by himself.

He eventually fell into a sleepy baby slumber. I win!
I kept the studio nice and toasty to keep him resting peacefully. It's always a goal of mine to try and capture a smile from each newborn I photograph. Yay!

I had such a wonderful time catching up with this sweet family from the comfort of my newborn studio. Hezekiah and his parents are such joyous people, and I treasured our time together.

Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
