Grady's Studio Newborn Session | Grove City, Ohio Newborn Photographer

Paige reached out to me by email to schedule their second baby’s newborn session. Her baby was due in a few weeks and she hoped I still had some availability around her due date. I run my business full time and have weekday and (limited) weekend openings for newborn sessions. I was able to schedule their session within baby Grady’s first 14 days of life. Those first two weeks babies tend to be sleepier and easily curled up. This doesn’t mean I won’t schedule a session with an older baby. I have photographed older babies who sleep wonderfully during their session. Even if they are awake, it makes for beautiful portraits full of eye contact!

Grove City, Ohio | Creek Mini Sessions| Columbus Child Photographer

A few years ago I took some photos of an adorable baby in a shallow creek in my hometown. Ever since then I'd been itching to head back there for more photos. This year I decided to hold creek mini sessions in my hometown of Grove City, Ohio. The area where I set up is so shallow that kids can stand with only their feet in the water, or they can step back and go a little deeper. It was an extremely hot and muggy evening but the water felt so nice!

It was a lot of fun seeing all the kids react differently to the water. Some were a little nervous and others splashed around. I can't wait to offer these again next year!
