Meet the Bates Family!
This past April I was getting really close to 1,000 "likes" on Facebook, so I wanted to offer a session giveaway once I hit that awesome milestone. At the end of April MaLeah and her family won a family session! I loved getting to know MaLeah and getting to hear about their family's story. I love all my clients dearly, but it helps so much more if a family opens up to me and let's me be part of their little world even if it's just for an evening.
We met at one of my most treasured, simple outdoor locations for an evening of giggles, snuggles & smiles. Their girls are beyond precious and well behaved. So full of joy and light.
It's so important to me that I capture parents with each child. Getting that one-on-one time will never be forgotten, and now they have it documented.
Miss Lucy and I picked several different kinds of wild flowers during our time together. She loved exploring, climbing & running with her daddy. Girl after my own heart.
Miss Emma was a petite bundle of smiles the entire evening. Nothing made her happier than staring at her mama. Tell me that romper/barefoot combo isn't the best ever?
Okay guys. When Miss Emma wasn't smiling from ear to ear, she was making the most hilarious faces. She's like "girl please." Haha!
A lot of times my most favorite locations are off the beaten path. I love nature and rustic elements in my photographs, and my local spot didn't disappoint as usual!
Look at Lucy. Best big sister award!
That hair & smile. She gets it from her mama.
Sweet big sister. She absolutely loved running with daddy and having him chase her. She was on the move that's for sure!
Sometimes you only have a moment to photograph something great before it's over. With kids you're never guaranteed more time or more chances. I got one photo before Lucy wanted down and this was it! Love it so much... flare and all!
These kiddos stole my heart!
Little Miss Serious.
Mom's and Dad's never think to get a couple's photo as they're usually so wrapped up in their children. And who can blame them? But I'm so glad Jeremiah and MaLeah said yes to a few photos together. They're too darn cute to skip this part!
I'm so thankful for blessings like social media, meeting new clients, and having them turn into friends. I can't wait to photograph you again Bates Fam!
Central Ohio Extended Family Photography Session
Columbus Ohio Family Photographer
Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
