Behind the Scenes Newborn Photo Session | Columbus Newborn Photographer
I'm Sarah and I thoroughly believe in photographing babies in the purest way possible. By removing all the props, fads and unnatural poses your baby can truly shine in their portraits. From the first consultation, to planning your family's session, coordinating outfits, gently posing your sweet newborn and delivering precious photographs to treasure forever - your time with me will be worry free and filled with happiness.
It seems so simple. Placing them on some fabric and snapping a photo.
So much goes into this single image. A fed baby, warm studio, layers of wrinkle-free fabrics under a newborn posing bean bag, the right lighting, good-quality equipment and gently posing baby into this "pose".
it looks like my babies are just hanging out. That's the point behind my posing. But I use little posing beans under all the fabrics to curl up their booty, head, and/or arms. Without them they just sort of lays there, all stretched out.
The techniques don't end once I capture the image. I edited this image to make sure baby's skin looks warm but not too red or orange. I ensure the white's look white and not blue or a funky color.
So you see, even natural newborn photography requires skill and knowledge.
I love being able to give clients an experience with their newborn session. Helping them plan outfits, asking what photos of mine they love the most so we can incorporate them into the session, and taking my time getting to know my clients wants and needs. I let babies lead the way with each newborn session; only posing them in ways that look comfortable to them and then perfecting it with the knowledge I’ve acquired over the last eight years in this business.
