Heather contacted me wanting to document her son’s upcoming first birthday milestone. She looked at my studio photos online and loved it! She asked to schedule a baby milestone session in my Grove City studio. She travels for work during the week and asked for a weekend date. Although weekend dates are limited, she scheduled in advance so I had availability for her!
When planning their session with her, she said she had an adorable Burberry outfit picked out for her son, Jacob. So I helped her style the rest of their outfits to coordinate with his plaid romper. We chose a mix of creams and greys to offset the colors in his outfit. A few days before their session she emailed me to ask about bringing her parents and brother. Her brother was in town unexpectedly from from deployment. Although my studio space is limited, I couldn’t turn down the chance to include Jacob’s grandparents in a few portraits.
The day of their session, we began with photos of Jacob. This is always a good idea if I’m working with babies and toddlers in general. They usually are a bit shy at first so they stay in one place for their solo portraits. After his photos, I captured him with his grandparents and parents. These family studio sessions are very laid back and full of laughter and cuddles! I’m so happy I was able to offer this family photographs of them as a family, as well as grandparent photos they can treasure forever.
