Say hello to Dali and her mama.
There is something so real and pure about standing in a creek just one mile from home. No shoes. No fancy outfit (on my end). Just photographing a baby and her mama. Dali loved checking out the water flowing beside her and snuggling with her mom.
I was standing there photographing them thinking how tiny Dali was when I captured her newborn photos earlier this year. I got all the feels when I thought about her turning one, starting school and becoming a little adult.
Saying she loved the feel of her feet in the water is an understatement. She was so giddy!
Then I put her in a bucket and she couldn't contain her excitement. Or her arms. Or her expressions. She was full of energy and silliness!
She got so excited a little bit of her supper made an appearance haha!
And finally, we put her in an old fashion basin tub. Threw on a retro headband... and she became this tiny model with all this sass! And those rolls. Gah!
"Girl please." Haha! She has so many expressions!
Stay little as long as you can Miss Dali. I can't wait to see you grow and grow!

Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
