Did you know I photograph older children too? Miss Abigail started middle school this year so we decided it was time to get some updated photos to show off her journey to being an almost teenager. *Gulp*
I've known Abby since the day she was born. I'm her aunt! It's been a pleasure (and quite the journey!) watching her grow up into a sassy little lady. I remember watching Dora reruns with her over and over as a baby. Rocking her to sleep, keepin' it real with her, spoiling her and watching her become a big sister twice. A lot of people think we look alike, especially when we both wear our glasses.
I picked her up last week and we headed to Homestead Park in Hilliard, Ohio. I really wanted to capture her laughter and innocence among the wildflowers at sunset. I helped her apply a little make up (shh!) and we were all set!
There is something magical about photographing someone alone. No distractions. No parents. Just real. Me and you.
Could she look any more like a senior here? That pose.
Here come the giggles...
I love LOVE this photo. Her lashes are so long and that smile is infectious. I love moments when no one is looking. When a child is simply being themselves.
I normally love color for outdoor portaits, but her this next one begged to be in black and white. It brings out her freckles so perfectly.
Dear Abby, don't grow up too fast. Run. Play. Lift up other girls and empower one another. Remember who and what is important. Be humble. Say your prayers. And most importantly... remember that Aunt Sarah is your favorite! ;)
I book child mini photo sessions all year around, in my studio and/or outdoors at sunset. Click the button below to chat with me about booking your child's next photo session to capture their innocence and pure joy.
Central Ohio Extended Family Photography Session
Columbus Ohio Family Photographer
Ankur contacted me from out of state to schedule an extended family session for his entire family. A lot of them were traveling to Columbus for one weekend only to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday. They wanted to document it with a large family photo session with a summer feel. I was thrilled to schedule a session with them and we began planning the location and outfits right away.
