Baby Eli's Newborn Session | Dublin Ohio Newborn Photographer
Meghan and Scott contacted me to book their second baby’s newborn session. They reached out to me right when Eli was born; looking to schedule within the next week. I was able to get them into my studio within their time frame and while baby Eli was still a newborn. I love when both parents are involved in finding the right newborn photographer for their baby.
Once they chose from my available dates I sent them the information they needed to book. I noticed on the questionnaire portion of their contract that they requested some help with choosing family outfits. Once I see that I contact clients right away to talk about what they have in mind. I send all newborn clients a user-friendly, online guide with outfit ideas, my studio address and more! This guide gives tips on what looks best in my studio and what essential wardrobe items to bring. Meghan chose a classic, black blouse that flattered her so well! Scott wore a crisp button down that complimented Meghan’s blouse because they were opposite in color. I usually suggest that there be a mix of tones, even if they are all neutral. If both parents wear the same color it looks a bit odd when posing together. Their oldest daughter wore the most darling little open cardigan! Their outfits worked so well together.
Gracie, the older sibling, was such a sweet little girl. She loved everything about her new little brother. Every photo I took she was sure to smile and listen to everything I asked of her. She behaved so well, especially for a toddler! With siblings you never know if they’ll want photos with their new sibling or if they will feel comfortable in a studio. But I take my time with little ones, letting them warm up is so crucial. I provide little snacks they get to choose from once they complete their portion of the session. I find this helps give them an incentive!
Baby Eli gave me some amazing eye contact for most of his session, but he did drift off once he was swaddled in one of my soft wraps I keep in my studio. I can’t wait to see them again for family and baby milestones! Here are my favorites from baby Eli’s newborn session.
