A year of documenting families | My 2018 Clients | Columbus Newborn and Family Photographer
This was my first entire year running my business full time. It was my busiest year to date with the most amazing clients and portrait opportunities! I am beyond blessed and thankful to have the chance to be an entrepreneur and raise my daughter from home at the same time. I’ve been told you can’t truly give 100% of yourself to your business while also working a full time job and I didn’t really see the truth in that until this year. It pushed me to reach my ideal clients and get my name out there in my city of Columbus. It’s a forever process of making sure folks out there know who I am and what I can offer their families!
I learned so much this year about a business woman, artist, wife, friend and mother. Here are a few of my most important lessons i learned.
Self-care is important
Studio lighting is not the enemy
Sharing your images online isn’t enough to gain more clients (you have to put yourself out there!)
If you have nothing to edit there is still more work to be done. Blogging, advertising, emailing, etc.
Check in with your friends. You need them as much as they need you!
Take breaks from everything at home and do something fun with your kiddo(s). Even if it’s cold out!
Your house really isn’t as messy as you think.
White balance is the devil. But important.
