I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was the moment Heidi showed up to my studio with her sweet, tiny pug puppy. I'll be honest, I've never taken portraits of a puppy before, let alone a sleeping puppy. But just like any baby, they play hard and then sleep hard. They wore him out in their yard before bringing him over. All it took was five minutes of back scratches on my lap to dose off into dreamland.
He let me pose him pretty much however I wanted. But like any new baby session, I tend to let them lead the way. So we started with photos of him sleeping in bed, which is where he fell asleep in the first place.
I, then, gently moved him to my soft beanbag where I photograph all my newborns. He quickly settled into a cozy spot and kept sleeping away. I think I squealed 87 times during his quick mini puppy newborn session! Enjoy his precious, sleepy pug photos!
(P.S. - Fabrics are washed after each use. Not that I don't LOVE new puppy smell.)
